William Leon Melrose

William Leon "Billy" Comuzie, 61, of Melrose, Florida, passed away September 3, 2025. "Sunny Skies and Breezy Days" was Billy's favorite motto. He was a loving father and grandfather, a devoted friend, and a brother who will be missed dearly.

Billy was raised for most of his life in Florahome, Florida. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking through the woods and had a deep love for all types of music, especially Rock 'n' Roll, where he could name any song. A hard worker, he mastered the skills of carpentry, construction, and drywall. He is now at peace with his son, mother, and brothers.

He is survived by his daughters, Amy Shepherd of Satsuma, FL, and Jennifer Shepherd of Fleming Island, FL; his grandsons, Kenneth Webb III of Fleming Island, FL, and Casen Tootle of Satsuma, FL; as well as his nephew, Jesse Caplinger; his niece, Tessa Caplinger; and his nephew, Alec Beck.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Shepherd; his mother, Roberta Comuzie; and his brothers, Mark "Kelly" Comuzie and Jimmy Comuzie.

A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Ken speaking.
