William Hadesty Miller passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, at the age of 78 in Lebanon, PA. Born on December 27, 1945, in Pottsville, PA, Bill was a cherished member of the community, known for his caring nature, humor, and deep love for his family. Bill dedicated 36 years to educating young minds in Social Studies at Cedar Crest High School. His commitment to education was paralleled by his involvement in various community and fraternal organizations. He was an Eagle Scout, member of the Tamaqua/Mahanoy City Lodge No 238 F&AM, the Valley of Allentown Scottish Rite, and the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. Outside his professional life, Bill was an avid traveler, exploring the world with his beloved wife, Paula. He also enjoyed gardening, geocaching, and was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. Bill enjoyed sharing interesting articles he found online with friends and family, was always ready to engage in thoughtful discussions, and especially loved sending weekly riddles to his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his loving wife Paula Miller; daughter Emily Del Viscio (husband Michael); and grandchildren Caitlin and Aaron Del Viscio. He was a graduate of Tamaqua High School (1963) and Mansfield University (1968), which laid the foundation for his impactful career in education. Services will be held at Christman's Funeral Home, 226 Cumberland St, Lebanon, PA 17042, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Visitation will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a service at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Myerstown Community Library, 199 N College Street, Myerstown, PA 17067 or the Tamaqua Public Library, 30 S Railroad Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252, in memory of Bill.
