William E. "Bill" Mills

William E. (Bill) Mills - born Oct 14 1941 - Passed away Jan 3, 2023 after a short battle with lung cancer. He is a US Army veteran that served from 1962 to 1964. Serving most of his Army service in Germany which he loved and talked about often. Plus, he learned how to speak German. He also served time in the Army National Guard in the early 1980's. He worked concrete for a large part of his life. He also worked for the Tulare County road department for 15 years and then retired around 2003. Bill is survived by his wife Margaret; two sons from his first marriage to Nona - William and wife Ronetta, and Randy and wife Trish, all of Amarillo, Texas. Margaret's two children, Angie Casas and husband Frank, and David Thomason, all of Porterville. Bill will be missed by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren as well as two sisters, Jean Childress and Betty Arnold. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and gardening with an amazing green thumb. Celebration of Life will be held at Hadley Marcom Funeral Chapel, 1700 W. Caldwell, Visalia, Sunday January 8, 2023, at 1:00 pm.
