Bill was born on August 29, 1937, in White Plains, NY to the late William A. Moore and Mary Agnes Tully. He was a graduate of Washington Irving High School in Tarrytown and honorably served 9 years in the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserves.
He was an esteemed electronic technician for 56 years with Ruhle Industries, Inc. (formerly Farrand Controls, Inc.) in Valhalla, NY, retiring in 2018 at the age of 80.
Bill is the loving father of William of Richford, VT, and Dawn (Joseph) Petruso of Pawling, NY. He is also survived by his beloved cat, Max, who has been his devoted companion throughout his declining years.
He was pre-deceased by his loving sister Patricia Koster.
Bill was a long-time member of The Westchester Firefighters Emerald Society Pipe and Drums Corps and proudly served as a bagpiper at parades and events throughout the state, including the annual St. Patrick's Day parade in Manhattan, and the annual September 11th and Memorial Day ceremonies in North Salem.
