William Moore Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Young Family Funeral Home - Kendallville from Jan. 2 to Jan. 3, 2026.
William Lloyd Moore, 83, of Wolcottville, Indiana and formerly of Spencerville, Indiana died Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Kendallville Manor Nursing Home in Kendallville.
Born February 3, 1942, to Marion and Evelyn (Dodane) Moore.
He married Dorothy Sauder on February 17, 1962.
Mr. Moore retired from B.F. Goodrich after 34 years with the company. He was also a farmer.
He formerly attended St. Michael Catholic Church in Hicksville, Ohio. He was also involved with the Harlan Baseball Association for many years.
William enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, gardening, feeding the birds, and playing solitaire. Later in life, he discovered woodworking, and it became more than a hobby, it was a way for him to pour love into something lasting. The furniture and birdhouses he crafted weren't just projects; they were gifts, each one carrying a piece of him. Whether tending to his flower beds or casting a line after moving to the lake, William was most at peace outdoors, surrounded by the beauty he nurtured.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Moore of Wolcottville; a son, Jerry (Lee Beth) Moore; a daughter, Judy (Glenn) Wynn; four grandchildren, Angela (Wynn) Greener, Alan Wynn, Amalea (Moore) Desiree King, and William Moore; two great-grandchildren, Dexter Greener and Harrison Greener; three sisters, Nancy Mohr, Janet Meyer, and Rita (Jerry) Beam; a brother, Mark (Roxanne) Moore; a sister-in-law, Karen Moore; and a brother-in-law, Dave Yenser.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Evelyn Moore; two brothers, Charles Moore and David Moore; a sister, Marge Yenser; and two brothers-in-law, Lynn Meyer and Norman Mohr.
There will be no visitation or services at this time.
Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
