William J. Munch (Billy), 42, of Rockland County, NY, passed away suddenly on July 11, 2025.

Born on July 18, 1982, in the Bronx. Billy was the cherished son of William and Margaret (Connelly) Munch. He was a devoted son, brother, father, and friend, known for his generous heart and steadfast commitment to serving others. Billy proudly served as a volunteer firefighter for 27 years, a role that brought him both pride and purpose.

Billy is survived by his parents William and Margaret Munch( formally of Bronx, NY); his sister, Melyssa Selleck of Wall, NJ and her husband Robert, their children Madden and William; his brother, Timothy Munch of New City, NY and his wife Kathleen, their children Kensley and Kaiden. He leaves behind a son, Michael Mitts. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Dolores Munch of Ledyard, CT; his loving girlfriend Cristina Santiago; and by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his brother, William J. Munch III; his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Margaret Connelly; his paternal grandfather, William J. Munch; his great-grandmother Eva(Nanny)Konrad; his aunts Patricia Chirles and Regina Sullivan; and his cousin Kristi Lynn Hansen.

Billy's dedication to his community, his love for his family, and his quiet strength will be remembered always.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11 am at Saint Catharine of Alexandria R.C. Church, 523 Western Hwy S, Blauvelt, NY 10913.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Billy's memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or a charity of your choice.
