William P. Neal was born to the late William Stitt and Edna Neal on February 19, 1932, in Pittsburgh, PA. William departed this life peacefully to his new heavenly home on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Shadyside Hospital.
Bill, Ping, or Jitter Bug as he was affectionately known attended the Pittsburgh Public Schools System. HE was raised by his late grandparents Henry and Rebecca Neal, and his uncle and aunt, Albert and Elanor Neal of Donora, PA.
Bill was married to his beloved wife Delores (Neada) Neal for 69 years until her passing on May 2, 2021, getting married on February 22, 1952. To this union was their only son William R. (Bily) Neal, Jr.
Bill joined the United States Military in January 1953. Upon his honorable discharge, Bill became a Laborer. He was a member of the American Legion and The Laborers District Council of Western Pennsylvania. He also enjoyed building houses with his father-in-law Robert Gore.
Bill was a member of Petra International Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Donald O. Clay. He was a devoted and faithful member until his health failed.
Bill was also an avid Steeler fan and loved to go on fishing trips with his cousin Henry Wilson.
Preceding Bill in death were his parents, William Stitt and Edna Hill, his loving and devoted wife Neada, 3 brothers: James, George, and Henry Hill, 3 sisters Irma Davis, Jessie Mayo, and Gloria Hill.
Bill leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted son Billy, 1 brother-in-law Robert E. Gore, 2 sisters-in-law; Lorraine Hill and Ruby Travis. A loving 1st cousin Marjorie Neal Blackman of California, a devoted adopted daughter Geraldine (Peachy) Warren, godson; Michael Cobb (Sheree) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and devoted lifelong friends.
Bill will be deeply missed by family and friends for all the stories and home movies he loved to share.
