WILLIAM LeROY "BILLY" NEY

William LeRoy Ney, lovingly known as Billy, was born on February 20, 1959, in Washington, D.C., to Herbert LeRoy Ney and Stephanie Anne Stafford. He grew up in Maryland and graduated from Springbrook High School in 1977. Billy later earned his CDL and built a lifelong career in transportation.

After relocating to Vero Beach, Florida, Billy established both a transportation business and his own moving company. Beyond his work, Billy was devoted to his faith as a member of Christ by the Sea Church.

Billy enjoyed entertainment, lively conversations, and being surrounded by those he cared about. More than anything, Billy treasured his family. They were the center of his world, and he showed his love through unwavering support, humor, and a constant willingness to help. His loyalty and devotion to his family will forever be one of the most enduring parts of his legacy.

Billy passed away at home on November 10, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Ney and Stephanie Moreland. He is survived by his sister, Sheryl Green; his nephews, Chris and Jason Green; his niece, Shanna Struzinski; his great-nephews, Owen, Lucas, and Alex; his great-niece, Amelia; and his stepfather, Ronald Moreland.

A funeral service to honor Billy's life will be held on December 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Christ by the Sea Church in Vero Beach, Florida.
