William F. Ober

William F. Ober, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and respected businessman, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024, at the age of 83 in Milford, MA. Born on April 12, 1941, in Peabody, MA, to the late Arthur and Louise (Flanagan) Ober, William was a man of remarkable character and intellect.
He is survived by his wife, Susan M. Ober, step-son, Leonard R. Strapponi and his wife Carol of NH, and his adored grandchildren, Alyssa, Holly, and Amber Strapponi.
William's education at East Coast Aero Tech laid a strong foundation for his career. He dedicated 34 years of service to Pan Am, where his commitment and work ethic were unparalleled. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to open Colonial Furniture in Mendon. Alongside his wife, Susan, he later co-founded Polyethene Molding Industries, manufacturing medical and electronic enclosures for 43 years. Their partnership in business was as strong and enduring as their marriage.
A true renaissance man, Bill could turn his hand to anything. His interests were diverse, but he had a particular passion for boating, which provided him and his family with countless joyful memories on the water. His love for his community was evident through his service as a selectman in Mendon for two terms, where he made significant contributions to the town's growth and well-being.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 10AM in Swandale Cemetery, Hartford Ave. East, Mendon.
