William D. "Bill" Olary age 83, of Marysville passed away on October 26th, 2022 with his wife by his side. He was born on July 16th, 1939, in Kenockee Township to the late George and Anna Olary.
Bill moved to Port Huron at the age of 9 and lived in the area his whole life. On November 27th, 1964, he married Joanne Ulrich, in Wherthiem, Germany. They were married for 57 wonderful years. Bill honorably served his country in the United States Army. He worked at the Detroit Edison for 37 years before retiring in 2000. Bill was an avid fisherman and loved hunting. He enjoyed playing Euchre and bowling with his wife.
Bill is survived by his wife, Joanne Olary, his children; Paul Olary and Dorothy (Richard) Bubeck, his grandchild, JR McPhail, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, George and sister, Theodora.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, November 3rd, 2022, at 1:00pm at the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron. Minister Shaun Laurain will officiate. Visiting hours will be on Thursday at 11:00am till time of service. Burial will be in the Allied Veterans Columbarium at a later date
The St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military honors along with the United States Army. There will be a luncheon to follow the service at the Jowett Funeral Home Reception Center.
Memorial tributes can be made to the Marysville American Legion or the Blue Water Hospice Home.
