William Wayne “Bill” Opie, 60, of Wooster, died March 17, 2024 at University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center.

Bill was born February 12, 1964 in Ellsworth, Maine to William James and Jeanette Marie {Kirby} Opie.

Bill Graduated from Wooster High School in 1982.

He married Jodi Presock on October 1, 2016. 

Bill was a graphics designer for most of his life, he recently retired. He was a member of the Creston Community Church. Bill was a member of the Wildcard Band and many other bands, in which he played the Bass Guitar. He was also a singer and had a beautiful voice. Bill loved golfing and cooking. He loved his dogs Bella, Zooka, Stormy, and Thunder. Bill was the biggest Steelers Fan, he loved watching them play on Sundays.

Bill will be deeply missed by his wife Jodi of Wooster; daughters Rachel Opie of Wooster, Keri Reidenbach of Shreve, and Jacqueline Barrington of Wooster; son Ryan (Liz) Jenkins of West Salem; grandchildren Abel, Karly, Aubrey, Lucas, and Jayce; brother Timothy Opie of Shelby; sister Valerie Baker of Traverse City, MI; and former spouse Lisa Greenwald of Fredericksburg.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents William James and Jeanette Marie Opie.

Friends may call Friday March 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Saturday March 23 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/William-Opie) with Pastor Josh Chaffin officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at a later date. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wayne County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center 5694 Burbank Rd. Wooster, OH 44691.
