Jim Boldman

James "Jim" Boldman, age 92, of Wooster, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Danbury Senior Living in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
He was born on January 24, 1933, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Clyde and Minnie (Creighton) Boldman, and graduated from Wooster High School in 1951. Jim married Sharon Purdy on June 21, 1986, in Berea, Ohio. She survives.
Jim worked for many years at Smith Dairy, first as a milkman and then retiring in 1995 as the head of home delivery.
He was a member of Parkview Christian Church in Wooster. Jim enjoyed traveling, especially to warm destinations, with Florida, Colorado, and Las Vegas among his favorite places. He loved playing golf at Round Lake, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was known for his constant smile. Jim never met a stranger; everyone who crossed his path became a friend.
He cherished time spent with the ROMEO Club (Retired Old Men Eating Out), which met monthly at Greenleaf, and with the Smith Dairy breakfast club each week. Jim also enjoyed working puzzles, tending to his yard, and serving as "Mr. Fix-It" for anyone who needed a hand, neighbors, friends, and family alike.
Surviving are his son, Rick Boldman of Ocala, FL; daughter, Cathy (Larry) Greene of Highlands Ranch, CO; two daughters-in-law, Peggy Boldman of Wooster and Debra Boldman of Canal Winchester; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sons, Mike and Dave Boldman; former wife, Eva Purdy; brother, Bill M. Boldman; sisters, June Endsley and Betty Mann; stepson, Eric Anderson; and daughter-in-law, Janet Boldman.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Parkview Christian Church, 1912 Burbank Road, Wooster, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
A memorial service will follow at 11:30 am at the church, with Pastor Jeremiah Scadden officiating.
All are welcome to join the family for a lunch provided at the church in the fellowship hall directly following the memorial service for Jim.
