Frederick Rehm Obituary
Frederick was born on April 3, 1937, in Orrville, Ohio, to the late Herbert and Josephine (Fisher) Rehm. On July 14, 1956, he married the love of his life, Joann Petak, in Rittman. Together they shared 70 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on devotion, partnership, and family. Joann survives.
He attended Orrville High School and went on to work for many years as a manager at Koppers Inc., retiring in 1995. Frederick was known for his steady work ethic and quiet dependability.
Frederick especially enjoyed gathering with friends as part of the McDonald's breakfast club, where countless mornings were spent sharing stories and laughter. He was an avid Cleveland Guardians fan and found great joy traveling across the United States with Joann, creating treasured memories along the way. Above all, Frederick will be remembered as a quiet, steadfast man who placed his family at the center of his life and cherished every moment spent with them.
In addition to his beloved wife, Joann of Marshallville, he is survived by two sons, Christopher B. Rehm and Kelly B. Rehm; six grandchildren, Lincoln and Jade Rehm, Corey (Jamie) Rehm, Megan (Jared) Slabach, Casey Shaw, and Sarah Karam; and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Scott Allen Rehm; his brothers, Arthur H. Rehm and Herbert "Bud" Rehm, Jr.; and his sisters, Mary Alice Beck and Martha Snyder.
Friends may call on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Smithville Cemetery in Smithville, with Rev. Scott Schieber officiating.
