Daniel L. Bucher

East Sparta -- Daniel L. Bucher, age 74, of East Sparta, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a sudden period of declining health.

Daniel was born on August 29, 1951, in Orrville, Ohio, to the late Harry and Ruth (Kruhm) Bucher. He attended Orrville High School and, following high school, proudly served his country as an SP4 in the United States Army. On June 29, 1995, he married June Rogers, who survives.

Daniel dedicated 46 years of service to Flo-Tork, where he worked in shipping and receiving until his retirement in 2015.

An avid outdoorsman, Daniel enjoyed staying busy and finding joy in many hobbies. He loved fishing, boating, camping, attending classic car shows, and playing a good game of poker. He was also a devoted motor sports fan, especially NASCAR. Above all, Daniel had a genuine heart for people. He deeply loved his family and treasured every moment spent with them. He also enjoyed meeting new people, telling stories, and forming meaningful connections.

Surviving are his wife, June; a son, Daniel (Megan) Bucher Jr.; two daughters, Shannon (Jerry) Mathew and Tianna (Donny) Banton; a step-son, David (Diane) Long; a step-daughter, Diana (Matthew) Dalton; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Diane (Dick) Markley; two brothers, Dennis Bucher and David (Roxanne) Bucher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by a beloved grandchild, Tyler Banton.

Friends may call on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00pm to 8:00 pm, and on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Auble Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 11:45 am.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, with Pastor Josh Eatmon officiating. Burial will take place at the Fredericksburg Eastside Cemetery.
