Harold Nussbaum Obituary
Harold was born July 4, 1928, in Dalton, Ohio, to the late Levi and Nettie (Amstutz) Nussbaum, attended Dalton High School, and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He married Nancy J. Scott on April 17, 1959, in Orrville. She preceded him in death on December 31, 2015.
Harold devoted 45 years of service to United Telephone Company, working in roles ranging from installation to management before retiring in 1993.
He was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Masonic Cedar Lodge #430 in Orrville. Harold enjoyed woodworking and tinkering and was well known for his ability to repair or build just about anything; often creating custom items and picture frames others couldn't find elsewhere. He also enjoyed following the Cleveland Guardians.
Surviving are his three children, Dawn (John) Lewis of Orrville, Mark Nussbaum of Orrville, and Beth (Kevin) Hare of Orrville; two grandchildren, Aaron (Kera) Lewis of Mansfield and Justin Hare of Orrville; one great-granddaughter, Lillian Lewis of Mansfield; and a brother, Vernon (Ruth) Nussbaum of Nevada.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Harold was preceded in death by several siblings: LaVerne M. Nussbaum, Delphia Linder, Marion Nussbaum, Orrie Nussbaum, Harriet Noblit, Adrian Nussbaum, Leroy Nussbaum, John Dwight Nussbaum, Edith Potter, and Merlin Nussbaum.
Friends may call Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Auble Funeral Home, with Pastors Joe Routh and Kristen Buchs officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
