Vicki L. Shaffer

Vicki L. Shaffer, age 69, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly ofMarshallville and Smithville, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at her home following a period of declining health.

Vicki was born on April 8, 1956, in Orrville, Ohio, to Larry and Marilyn (Nussbaum) Pittman and graduated from Smithville High School in 1974. She dedicated more than 20 years of her professional life to serving as an office manager for several medical offices, where she was known for her organization, compassion, and steady presence.

Vicki found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved the warmth and beauty of the beach, but her greatest happiness came from time spent with her family. She cherished her children and grandchildren and treasured every opportunity to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories together.

She is survived by her mother, Marilyn Pittman of Smithville; her partner, Kevin Burke of Cape Coral, Florida; three children, Sarah (Jared) Moomaw of New Bern, North Carolina, Seth Shaffer of Walton Hills, and Ben Shaffer of Burbank; and four beloved grandchildren, Caden Shaffer, and Lukas, Lillian, and Claire Moomaw.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Larry Pittman; her brother and sister-in-law, Jamie and Deb Pittman; and her former husband, Rex Shaffer.

Friends may call on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Cremation has taken place, and private graveside services will be held at Stanwood Cemetery in Navarre.
