To Tina & Family: Please accept our deepest sympathy, on Bill's passing. Bill was my supervisor, during my Social Work field placement at the Skill Center, in 1972. While I knew of him, from his hockey days with the Iron Rangers, I really got to know him, during my field placement. He became a friend, but didn't hesitate to tell me when I was headed in the wrong direction, with a Skill Center student. Roberta first met bill, when she was teaching in Marquette and working toward her Masters Degree. Bill was her instructor, for a Friday night class at NMU & when she told me, I told her she would really like him. Wow! Was I correct! She said Bill was among the best instructors (possibly THE best)instructor she'd had in her under-grad and post-grad years, combined. She could tell he truly cared about his students and exhibited this on many occasions. Bill an I became associated again, during my tenure on the MAPS Board of Education. He was a person on whom we could rely, with his personal input and recommendations. The obituary says, ....Some considered Bill an icon. We are two of these people.
