William PARRISH Obituary
William Cecil Parrish, Sr., 80, of Winchester, formerly of Woodbridge, VA died Sunday, April 5, 2009 at his home.
He was born February 1, 1929, in Yadkinville, NC, the son of James and Louisa Faye Rutledge Parrish. He served in the US Army and was a self employed businessman.
He married Alta Jean Tiller Parrish on February 9, 1957 in Washington D.C. She preceded him in death January 25, 2003.
He is survived by a daughter, Billie Jean Parrish-Renna of Dumfries, VA; a son, Michael Wayne Parrish of Brooklyn, NY; a brother, James Parrish of Yadkinville; six grandchildren , five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A son, William Cecil Parrish, Jr. preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brad Weniger officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Renna, Tim Howell, Richie Brannon, Lewis Arrington, Brandon Parrish and Michael Parrish, Jr.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA. 22601.
