William Snyder Patrick, Jr., a passionate horse trainer and lifelong lover of horses, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, at the age of 85.
Born on September 9, 1939, in West Sacramento, Bill grew up with a deep appreciation for animals, particularly horses. He spent his life working as a skilled horse trainer, earning a reputation for his expertise and dedication to the care and training of horses. His love for these animals was unwavering, and he shared that passion with all those who knew him. Bill’s contribution to the equestrian community left a lasting impact, and his work continues to be remembered fondly by his peers.
He will be remembered by his nephew, James Patrick, as well as his two sisters-in-law, Edie Sosa and Linda Myler. Bill is also survived by his cousin Albert Patrick, and Albert’s children: Juliet Patrick, Emilia Patrick, Robey Patrick, and Kaitlin Dzurella.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the BLM Wild Mustang Fund or a local animal welfare organization in his honor.
Bill’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his gentle spirit and his love for horses.
