James “Jimmy” Albert Patrick Jr., passed away on June 16, 2025, at Amorem Hospice of Burke County. He was born on February 25, 1962, in McDowell County. Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment to his family and friends, along with cherished memories that will be held close by all who knew him.
For many years, Jimmy built a career in auto part sales, where he was known for his dedication and expertise. His passion extended beyond his profession; he found joy in riding motorcycles and working on older cars. Jimmy also took pride in woodworking and maintaining his garden.
Jimmy is survived by his loyal wife, Paula Patrick and his beloved dog Trouble. He was a father to Auston James Patrick and his wife, Jacquelyn Miner-Patrick; granddaughter Vivian Wren Miner-Patrick. He is also survived by his father, James Albert Patrick Sr., his siblings, Lisa Patrick White and husband Michael, Darrell Curtis and wife Juanita, and Melissa Curtis, and a number of nieces nephews and cousins who will remember him fondly.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sheena McClafferty McGinnis and his brother, William Patrick.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Reverend David Miner officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
