William Pedigo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smith Funeral Home - Anadarko on Feb. 13, 2026.
William "Bill" Jasper Pedigo, age 100, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, was born on April 4, 1925, to Henry and Nola (Smith) Pedigo and passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026.

Bill was a lifelong resident of Anadarko and a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was a faithful servant of the Lord, a preacher of the Gospel, and a man who deeply loved studying and learning the Word of God. He found great joy in reading his Bible and listening to Charles Stanley and Billy Graham. His faith was the foundation of his life and the legacy he leaves behind.

On March 24, 1945, he married the love of his life, Bessie Louise Harris. Their love story spanned decades until her passing on May 2, 2001.

Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946. After his military service, he worked for ONG for 37 years before retiring. He was an amazing cabinet builder, a natural musician, and a beautiful artist. Whatever his hands found to do, he did with excellence.

He had a special love for his birds and treasured his lifelong friendship with Doc - they had been friends forever. Bill was a man of many talents, a gentle spirit, and a steady example of faith and dedication to his family. He was a member of the On G'oers for 37years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Bessie; his son, Stephen Pedigo; daughter-in-law, Paula Pedigo; son-in-law, Jimmy Oldaker; son-in-law, Kevin Hollowell; great-grandchild, Judah Pedigo; two brothers; and three sisters.

Bill is survived by his children: Wesley Pedigo of Wellston, Stacy Hollowell of Anadarko, Kelly Oldaker of Chickasha, and Melissa Nixon and husband James of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
