William Pippen, Jr. Obituary William Augustus Pippen, Jr., 63, of Queens, New York, formally of Williamston, NC, entered into eternal rest on March 8, 2025. A Celebration of Life will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Paradise Memorial Chapel, with a viewing one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Ministry of Comfort has been entrusted to Paradise Funeral Home Inc.
William Augustus Pippen. Jr. known to some as "Boot" and "Pip" departed this earthy life on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the New York Presbyterian Hospital in Queens, New York.
William was born on November 20, 1961, to the late William A. Pippen, Sr. and Joanna Stokes Pippen.
At an early age, under the leadership of the late Reverend Jessie R. Whitaker, William joined Davis Chapel Church of Christ in Williamston, North Carolina.
William attended the Beaufort County Schools and graduated in 1980 from Washington High School. He later furthered his education at Atlantic Christian College, now known as Barton College, in Wilson, North Carolina. He was a Human Services Practitioner for the state of New York. He worked for New York City Human Resources Administration and Department of Social Services for over 37 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Pippen, Sr. and a niece Tatyannia L. Smith and several aunts, uncles and other relatives.
William leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Joanna S. Pippen of the home. Five sisters: Lucy P. Smith (Willie) of Chocowinity, NC; Lynette P. Williams, Annette L. Pippen, Latillary P. Davis, (Edward), and Wilhelmina Godley all of Washington, NC. An adopted brother: Jerrold Holley (Samantha) of Chocowinity. He also leaves 14 nieces and nephews: ShaQuanda Williams, Martell Hughes, Willie Smith, Jr., Myeisha Hughes, Jare Jackson, Sr., Jeffery Williams, Jr., Janee Harris, JaQues Williams, Zariah Harris, Tyshawn Harris, Khimani Nelson, Ariel Blount, Heaven Golson, and Nevaeh Golson; and three nieces and nephews: RaMiya Clark, KhaMari Joyner, YeMani Worsley, Jare Jackson, Jr. and Bryson Hughes. Special friend/sister/caretaker Dr. Patricia Lynn Smith McArthur of New York and a special friend/caretaker Sandra Douglas of New York. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
