William Malcolm "Bill" Pirie Sr.

age 86, of Highland Heights, OH, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026. Beloved husband of 65 years to Karen L. Pirie (nee Magyar); dearest father of Denise Jerome (Louie), Bob (Roann), Joyce O'Malley (Mike) and the late Bill, Jr. (Kim); loving grandfather of Michael Jerome (Kim), Heather Chancey (Johnny), Ryan (Rylie), Rory, and Shannon O'Malley and great-grandfather of Liam and Emma Jerome and Johnny, Peyton, and Bennett Chancey; dear brother of the late Allan III (Irene, nee Wood) and Malcolm (Eva); uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Bill was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and came with his family to the United States when he was 17. He met the love of his life, Karen, one year later and they have been together ever since. Bill was passionate about sports, especially soccer, which he played at a young age in Scotland. He started his own insurance agency and made many long lasting generational relationships. Bill was loved for his caring and compassion for others, sense of humor, jovial personality, and love for everyone. To know him was to truly love him. Bill loved, most of all, spending time with his family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at the SCHULTE & MAHON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 5252 MAYFIELD RD., LYNDHURST (BETWEEN RICHMOND AND BRAINARD). The service will also be live streamed on the funeral home's website. Interment private. The family will receive friends at the FUNERAL HOME MONDAY, APRIL 6 FROM 3:00 TO 6:00 P.M.
