William Pocock Obituary

William John Pocock, age 92, of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
Born on May 14, 1933, in Bayonne, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Herbert and Carolina (Ehmann) Pocock.
William is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years; two devoted daughters and their husbands; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sister; and many nieces and nephews.
After 43 years of dedicated service as a chemical technician, William retired from the Cognis Corporation in Harrison, New Jersey.
A man of many passions, he was known for his love of fishing and his joy in the outdoors. He especially enjoyed camping, traveling, and mountain climbing adventures shared with his family.
William proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Light Weapons Infantryman with the 11th Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He served honorably during the Korean and Vietnam War era from 1953 to 1955.
William will be deeply missed and forever loved by all whose lives he touched.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in William's memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
