William Lee "Butch" Pollard

William "Butch" Lee Pollard, a seventy-four year old Miami resident, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, surrounded by his family at Freeman Health System in Joplin.

Butch was born on February 27, 1952, in Superior, Arizona, to Jr. Elzie Lee Pollard and Vesta Ruth (Richison) Springer. He graduated from John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City with the class of 1970. On Saturday, July 21, 1979, Butch married the love of his life, Debra Ann Hankins. Mr. Pollard worked for Jasper Products as a buyer for many years until his retirement. Butch loved his family, especially when he and Debbie began enjoying their grandchildren. He was a history buff who would enjoy a trip to a museum. In retirement, he could often be found watching the animals outside that he fed. Mr. Pollard was preceded in passing by his parents, Jr. Elzie Pollard and Ray and Vesta Springer.

Those who will carry on Butch's legacy are his wife Debra Pollard of the home, his children Natalie Moore and her husband Justin of Claremore, Oklahoma, Stacy Alvarez and her husband Sal of San Jose, California, Cassie Jones and her husband Scott of Cumberland, Maine, his sisters Shauna McDaniel and her husband Randy of Jones, Oklahoma and Becky Ortiz and Rusty of Lake Side, Arizona along with his grandchildren Camden Moore, Hudson Moore, Sophia Alvarez, Shaelyn Alvarez, Siena Alvarez, Paige Jones, Landon Jones and Brooke Jones, with his nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service's Chapel from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, when his Celebration of Life will start with Mr. Tom Hefley officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Miami. There will be a livestream of the service available on Butch's Tribute Page at www.brown-winters.com.

Casketbearers will be Justin Moore, Camden Moore, Steve Wall, Brian Griffith, Garrett Griffith, Brandon Cline, Chris Cline, and Hudson Moore.
