Bill was born on July 1, 1964, in Baumholder, Germany, to Joseph G. Huber and Greta Marie (Reidelbach) Pufall. Growing up in a military family, he spent his childhood traveling between Germany and the United States. After his father's retirement, Bill embraced Lawton as his home for the next 30 years, fostering a deep connection with the community. Embodying his principles, Bill exemplified the essence of drive, determination, and dedication. Through hard work, he forged his path and left a lasting impact. His journey included roles as a newspaper boy, a dishwasher at the Elks Lodge, a crew member at Burger King, and a team member at Goodyear, ultimately rising to the position of a managing partner at Sonic Drive-In.
At Sonic, Bill met the love of his life, his future wife, and the mother of his child. United in love, they embarked on an inspiring journey together, exchanging vows on July 14, 1987, and cherishing 39 wonderful years side by side. This partnership flourished into a beautiful family with the arrival of their beautiful son, Justin, on May 16, 1989.
Following their son's high school graduation in 2007 from MacArthur High School, he embarked on an exciting journey to Oregon in 2008 to help expand the Sonic Franchise, embracing new opportunities and aspirations. Bill served as the director of operations until the stores were sold in 2018. His impact was profound as he inspired, mentored, and shaped the careers of countless employees.
Transitioning to a realtor, he seized the opportunity to help others achieve the American dream. Founding Poofco Construction, he uncovered his true passion for remodeling and transforming spaces. In both his personal and professional life, he connected with thousands of people, leaving a lasting legacy of encouragement and growth. "If I can help you be successful, then I will truly be successful."
He is survived by his loving wife, Christina Pufall, and his devoted mother, Greta Pufall. His legacy continues through his son, Justin Pufall, and his cherished brothers, Michael, Joe, and Greg Pufall. His sister, Patsy Iampieri, also carries his spirit, alongside his grandchildren, Connor Pufall and Grayson Pufall. The arrival of his granddaughter, Kinzleigh Pufall, is eagerly anticipated with a due date of June 27, 2025, symbolizing hope and new beginnings.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Huber and his adoptive father, Richard Pufall.
