William Francis Quinn, of
Delray Beach, FL, passed away on December 20, 2025. Born in
South Bend, Indiana, to the late John James and Teresa (nee O'Connor) Quinn, William was 66 years old.
Bill was a devoted and loving father to Patrick, Meghan, and Kathleen, who will miss him tremendously. He was a proud father-in-law to Michael and Brandon and a cherished "Pop Pop" to Mara Quinn, Michael William, Maeve Kerrigan, and Rosalie Teresa. He leaves behind a legacy of three children and four grandchildren, whom he was honored to share with Missy McNamara Quinn. He is also survived by his dear brother, Daniel Quinn, and a wide circle of extended family members and lifelong friends.
A proud graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School, Bill held a deep connection to the institution where his father, John Quinn, served as the head football coach and famously selected the school's colors. Following in the family's athletic tradition, Bill competed on both the football and track teams during his time there. He went on to earn his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and later attended the MBA program at LaSalle University with a concentration in Finance.
Bill built a distinguished career in finance spanning more than four decades. He was the Founder, CEO, and Investment Advisor of Quinn Holdings LLC, serving clients in Philadelphia and Delray Beach from 2016 to the present. Before founding his firm, he held senior leadership roles at some of the world's most respected financial institutions, including UBS, where he served as Senior Vice President from 2009 to 2016; Wachovia/First Union (later Wells Fargo) from 1998 to 2009; and Janney Montgomery Scott, where he advanced to First Vice President during his tenure from 1985 to 1998. A respected professional, Bill held an extensive array of SEC and FINRA licenses. He was a trusted guide in the financial world, navigating the complexities of municipal and corporate debt with a mastery and excellence that earned the deep admiration of his colleagues and clients.
Beyond his professional life, Bill held a profound respect for American History and the storied past of Philadelphia. Whether immersed in a book, cheering on his beloved Philadelphia sports teams, or listening to Frank Sinatra, Bill found joy in the details of a great narrative. An avid reader, he enjoyed sharing meaningful quotes and returned often to classics like The Great Gatsby, whose themes of hope and ambition resonated deeply with him. He was a man who didn't just seek out knowledge but truly loved passing it on to others. Above all, Bill cherished family dinners, where he was at his happiest.
Bill also believed in giving back. He used his expertise to serve as a FINRA Arbitrator, helping to ensure fairness in his industry, and was a trusted advisor to the Investment Advisory Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. His leadership in the industry was further recognized during his tenure as President of The Bond Club of Philadelphia, and he was dedicated to the well-being of his community as a former Board Member of the Kimmel Cancer Center of Philadelphia.
Bill will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his deep loyalty to friends, and a sharp intellect that was always paired with a passion for meaningful conversation. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, both personally and professionally, and in the family he loved so dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, December 30th at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 42 W. Main Street,
