William D. Reynolds of Burlington Township, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in Mount Holly. He was 85.
Born in Oceanside, NY, Bill grew up in Greenlawn, Long Island, NY and joined the US Army. While he was stationed in Berlin, he met his wife Hildegard L. (nee Höhn). He moved with his family back to the United States and they eventually settled in Willingboro after his honorable discharge. They lived in Willingboro until 1986 when his job in Computers with Unisys took he and his wife to Minnesota where they lived until 1998 when he retired. After Bill retired, he and Hildegard built a house in Burlington Township to be near his daughter's family.
Bill was also active in the Lamoine Community Arts program in Maine where he volunteered doing stage construction. He enjoyed woodworking and building. Billy also liked genealogy and the beach. He especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren and enjoyed taking pictures, especially of them. Bill was a friend and father figure to many and always willing to help everyone.
Bill was predeceased by his father John G. Reynolds and Elizabeth D. Reynolds (nee Cousins) Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Hildegard; his daughter Carolyn P. Klenk (nee Reynolds) "Pip"; 2 grandchildren: Scott A. Klenk Jr. of Voorhees and Samantha E. Klenk of Burlington Township; his brother and sister-in-law John D. and Sally Jo Reynolds of PA; niece Grace E. Reynolds and her husband Paul Cinoa. He is also survived by his grand nephew Timothy Cinoa and 2 grand nieces Sophia and Abby Cinoa.
Relatives and Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, May 8th from 2-4pm at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. A Memorial Service will follow at 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. www.cancer.org
