William Antonio Richardson, Sr., a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin, peacefully transitioned on March 3, 2026, at the age of 69. He was born on January 5, 1957, in Cheverly, Maryland to William Richardson (deceased) and Hester Richardson. Throughout his life, William was known for his honesty, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He attended Lackey High School and later began a remarkable and dedicated career serving the community as a Maintenance Technician and Property Supervisor with Southern Management at Kent Village Apartments. Over the course of 50 years, William built a reputation for reliability, skill, and integrity. His commitment and hard work earned him multiple Outstanding Performance Awards, reflecting the pride he took in serving others and doing his job well.
William was also deeply connected to his community and heritage. He was a proud member of the Piscataway Conoy Tribe and a faithful member of St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church where his faith guided his life and relationships. His devotion to family, community, and faith was evident in the way he lived each day.
William enjoyed an active life and spent many happy hours watching sports or engaging in friendly competition. Among his favorite pastimes were playing tennis, woodard pitch, ping pong, and shooting pool. These hobbies brought him great joy and often gathered friends and loved ones together for laughter, community and fun. An enthusiastic Dallas Cowboy fan, William enjoyed cheering his team and spending his downtime watching his favorite shows: including Gunsmoke, Common Knowledge, Deal or No Deal, Dr. Phil, and Judge Judy. He also had a love for good food - especially a classic meal from KFC - and never passed up the chance for a good conversation with family and friends.
As a man who deeply loved his family and valued the time spent together, his honesty and helpful spirit will always be remembered. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simple everyday moments, he made those around him feel cared for and supported. His steady presence and warm spirit created countless cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched through his kindness, dedication, and unwavering care for others. Though he will be greatly missed, his memory will continue to inspire love, strength, and togetherness in the hearts of his family and friends. “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
