William "Bill" Ricketts, 66, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on June 30, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.

Bill was born on August 7, 1958, to Edgar and Dorothy (Banks) Ricketts. A proud graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, Class of 1976, he went on to work as a supervisor at GAF for more than 20 years before continuing his career as a truck driver for the Posey County Highway Department. He also owned and operated Son & Dad mowing business for the last 20 years.

Bill had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time hunting and being in the woods. He was an avid pool player and a member of the Moose Lodge in Mt. Vernon. Above all, Bill loved his family deeply and cherished time spent with them.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy (Hanmore) Ricketts; his children, Sonja (Carlos) Frisby, Amber (Andy) Krieger, and William (Brittany) Ricketts II; grandchildren, Kaaleb (Valerie) Krieger, Kaaleigh Krieger, Trevor Frisby, Brooklyn Krieger, Alyssa Frisby, Shane Krieger, Gavin Frisby, Dre Ricketts, and Aubrey Ricketts; great-grandson, Landon Krieger; and sisters, Rebecca (Leon) Brandeberger, and Twylah (Jeff) Moye.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Brenda Breeden, and Jamie Ricketts; and brother-in-law, Bob Breeden.

A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 PM on July 13, 2025, at Agape Family Ministries, 5529 Industrial Rd, Mt. Vernon. Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
