William (Bill) Allen Rivers, born June 20, 1954 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma expired December 24, 2025 in his home in Seguin, TX.
Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Iris McIntire Rivers; Father, John Alden Rivers; and brother, John Alden Rivers Jr. and two sons Michael Allen Rivers, and Steven Paul Rivers.
Survivors include Bill’s wife, Carolyn Ann Neff Rivers, daughter Jennifer Ann Rivers Bliss, her husband Billy J Bliss and grandson, Alec Jesse Bliss.
Bill started his work in sleep medicine in 1976 when he received his RPSGT in Sleep Medicine. He was a long-standing board member of the American Association of Sleep technologies (AAST). He served as their treasurer for 12 years. He was a member of the finance committee and the education committee during his tenure with the AAST. He was awarded the Peter McGregor Award, as well as a distinguished service award by the AAST. He received fellow status to the AAST. He was fundamental in the establishment and co-developer of the spring sleep seminar, which has run for over 30 years educating sleep technologies.
Graveside services will be in Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th St., Del City, Oklahoma 73115 on January 6th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
