William "Bill" Roberts went to his heavenly home October 6, 2025. He was born in Thomasville, NC. His parents are Wister Young Roberts Jr. and Daphane Nadine Pressley Roberts. He has a sister Donna Adele Roberts Brooks.
Bill and his family moved to Dade City, FL in 1957. He went to Dade City Grammer School, Pasco Junior High School, and graduated in 1964, from Pasco High School. He took a few classes at Pasco Hernando College. He worked at Lindsay's Trucking with his dad, Kash & Karry, and Richardson's Funeral home. After graduating high school, he joined the United State Air Force. After returning home he worked at Hardy's Department Store until he joined the Florida Highway Patrol. He returned to work at Hardy's Department Store until the store closed in 1985. He worked at the Pasco County Property Appraisers office as the Ag appraiser.
He met his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Ann (Hardy) Roberts in 1968. We were high school sweethearts and married in 1966.
Bill is proceeded in death by his Father Wister Young Roberts, Jr., Mother Daphne Nadine Pressley Roberts, son Lester Lamar Roberts.
Bill is survived by his wife Elizabeth Ann Roberts, daughters Tammy (Bill) Adams, Heidi (Paul) MacNeil. Grandchildren Katya (Les) Barton, Zachary (Nyasia) Ballard, Alexandrea (Martin) Castillo, Great grandchildren Zelda and Kaiden Barton, Theo, William, Charlotte Ballard, and Martin Castillo III. He is also survived by his sister Donna Roberts Brooks (Eugene) and nieces Kimberly Stopiak and Tracy Grice along with their families.
Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. In his younger years he played racket ball and ran with a dear friend. He loved the outdoors fishing and hunting quail and dove. He added deer hunting to his adventures 20 years ago. He shot his trophy deer in Alabama a few years ago. He loved going into the woods to sit in a tree stand and sharing the "Alabama life" with his son-in-love Paul. He is and will be missed every day.
His memorial service will be held October 22, 2025, at 10 AM at Floral Memory Gardens off Clinton Avenue, Dade City, FL. The family has requested no flowers.
