William C. "Wild Bill" Ross

William C. Ross, known to most as Bill, passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 88. Bill was born on February 9, 1938, in Fort Lupton, Colorado. He grew up with strong family values and maintained a deep connection to his Colorado roots throughout his life. Bill graduated in 1957 from Aurora HS in the Denver area, later moving to Aztec, NM. Bill spent his entire career working in the auto parts industry. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the pride he took in his work. Over the years, he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of those who worked alongside him. He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Ross, and his mother, Hazel Hamilton Ross. Bill is survived by his sister, Cynthia Ross Myler and her husband, Gene; and his brother, Michael Ross and wife, Linda. He is also survived by his four children: John Sultz and his wife, Sandy; Debbie Ross; Cindy Johnson and husband Ron; and William Ross. Bill was a proud grandfather to numerous grandchildren who will carry his memory forward. In his free time, Bill enjoyed golf, bowling, watching NASCAR, cheering on the Denver Broncos, and spending time at the blackjack table with friends. He valued those moments of laughter, competition, and camaraderie. In recent years, when Bill lost his ability to drive, many neighbors and friends generously stepped in to help. They made sure he could continue going to the gym and attending lunch gatherings several times a week. Their kindness and friendship meant a great deal to him and reflected the strong community he was proud to be part of. A memorial service will be held in Aztec, with another service planned in the Denver area at a later time. Details will be shared with family and friends as they become available. Bill will be remembered for his steady presence, his dedication to his family, and the many memories he created with those he loved. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.
