William Baker "Bill" Roulo

Newmarket - William "Bill" Baker Roulo, 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 18, 2025, at Harmony Homes By The Bay in Durham. Bill was a lifelong resident of Newmarket and, more recently, of Raymond. Born on October 19, 1941, in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Philip and Ruth (Morse) Roulo. From 1959 to 1964, Bill served proudly in the U.S. Army. A deeply patriotic man, his love of country was evident throughout his life; he never passed an American flag without stopping to salute, a quiet gesture that spoke volumes. He spent his career as a skilled pipefitter, serving as general foreman and project manager for Northern Peabody. A loyal and active member of Local 131, he dedicated over 50 years to his trade and community. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Philip G. Roulo Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Gail Roulo; daughters Kerry Roulo and Valerie Roulo; granddaughter Emily Roulo (Tedeschi) her husband, Josh Tedeschi; great-grandson Bowie William Tedeschi; sisters Sandra Labranche and Margaret Skalarski; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Bill found joy navigating the waters of Great Bay, Cape Cod, and the Atlantic Ocean, often fishing or enjoying bay cruises with family and friends. A familiar face in town, everyone knew Bill from Joyce's Kitchen, the local spot where he had his own seat and a warm hello for anyone who walked in. He was also an avid photographer, capturing countless weddings and real estate moments with care and creativity. He cherished his pets and will be remembered for his kindness, fun-loving nature, steady presence, and unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 27th, from 4–5:30 p.m. at Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home & Crematory, 77 Exeter Road (Route 108), Newmarket. A memorial service will follow at 5:30 p.m. and American Legion services at 6 p.m. Following the services, a Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion in Newmarket from 6:15–8:30 p.m. Burial with military honors will take place on Monday, June 30th, at 2 p.m. in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one of Bill's favorite causes: Wounded Warriors, the American Legion, SPCA Stratham, or the Suncoast Humane Society in Englewood, Florida, in honor of his generous spirit and enduring legacy.
