I have thought of my favorite Sergeant over the years, and the thing that stays with me, is his hearty laugh and great spirit. You are not forgotten, Sarge. RIP

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear of Bills passing. First met him in 1964 when I started at #5 and his folks lived across the street from me on Maiden. He was a true gentleman as well as a good cop. Rest in peace my brother in blue.

I was shocked to hear of your loss. Please know how very sorry I am. Sgt. Bill Schmidt was my boss at #7-Staff. He was without a doubt the best boss I had during my career. I was sorry when he retired and moved to Florida. I am glad that he was able to have many good years of retirement. R.I.P. Sarge.
