William Schultz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Malone Funeral Home on Jan. 7, 2026.
William E. "Bill" Schultz, age 91, of Geneva, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

He was born April 18, 1934, in Batavia, the son of William H. and Prudence I. (Taylor) Schultz. He lived in Batavia for nearly 90 years.

Bill was a proud Air Force veteran who loved airplanes, watching westerns, carving ducks, tinkering in the garage, riding his lawn mower, and all things Batavia, IL. He was honored on his 90th birthday to receive a Proclamation from Mayor Schielke stating that April 5, 2024 was Bill Schultz Day in Batavia. He loved all family near and far, immediate and extended, and friends who felt like family. Most of all he loved his wife, Willa, of 67 years. Until his last day, she was "the prettiest girl" he had ever seen. He will be remembered by all for his great smile, mischievous laugh, and light hearted teasing nature.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Willa; children David (Lauri) Schultz of Duvall, WA and Dena (John) Bonnike of Geneva, IL; 3 grandchildren Lana, Liam, and Layla Bonnike of whom he was so proud to be their Papa; and his best dog Prim.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation for William will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 10:00 am until the time of his funeral service at 12:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.

Burial will be held privately.
