William Schwindler

February 11, 1933 - August 30, 2025

Charlotte, North Carolina - Mr. Schwindler, 92, passed away on August 30, 2025.

His memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 2pm at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church. He will be inurned beside his beloved wife in the church columbarium.

William was born on February 11, 1933 to Francis J. and Margaret Bermel Schwindler in Erie County, NY.

William served in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He was an elevator mechanic for various agencies. His most cherished job was playing the accordion at the Waldorn Restaurant since they opened.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his children, Barbara Tamol (James), Michelle Repeta (Jerome), Lynn McNerney (Patrick) and Rebecca Thomson (Daniel); sister, Bernice Farnsworth; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dona (Baumann) Schwindler and brothers, Francis and Michael "Etz" Schwindler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VIA Hospice.
