William A.
BLUFFTON, S.C. - William A. Scribner, 84, of Bluffton, S.C., and Castleton, N.Y., passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Canterfield Assisted Living, in Ridgeland, S.C.
William was born in Burlington, Vt., the son of the late Louis and Evelyn (Harris) Scribner.
His interests included hunting and fishing.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
Bill was a food inspector for the U.S. Dept Of Agriculture.
He was predeceased by the love of his life, Regina R. Zimmerman.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Minnie Scribner (Dick, d.); nephew, Dale R. Scribner (Tammy); In-laws, Roy and Betty Zimmerman; niece, Kimberly Shaughnessy; and numerous other family members.
Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, December 4, from 10-11 a.m., in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in William's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
