William Seifred Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home on Jan. 4, 2026.
William "Bill" Kyle Seifred, 83, of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on November 22, 1942, in Winchester, Massachusetts, and was the son of the late Richard Vear Seifred and Lois (Gile) Laverty.
Bill was raised and educated in Massachusetts and went on to lead a life defined by service, dedication, and quiet integrity. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War, entering service in 1964 and being honorably discharged in 1966.
Following his discharge, Bill continued his work with the military as a mechanic for more than 30 years. He later served his community as a bus driver in the Chelmsford and Billerica area for over 20 years.
Bill enjoyed driving speedboats, snowmobiles, and his supercharged Shelby. He was also passionate about World War II reenactments and frequently traveled to Pennsylvania to participate.
He is survived by his brother, Richard Seifred of High Point, North Carolina, and his niece, Erika Seifred of Los Angeles, California.
Memorial services will be held at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home on Sunday, January 11th, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm with military honors taking place at 5 pm.

My husband and I worked with Bill driving school bus in Chelmsford. He was always a gentleman and conscientious driver. May Bill rest in peace and our condolences to his brother and niece.
