As my Father's best, and life-long friend..Bill was in our lives since we were born. He would sit for hours laughing and talking with us. As a young child.. He'd let me beat him at checkers - although I had thought I won all on my own. He was my younger sister's God Father. He taught my sisters and I how to drive. What a Wonderful laugh he had. He was a fantastic story teller and he was filled with kindness. Bill, you will truly be missed but your life here on Earth was like Sunshine to us. Thank you for being in our Lives for all those years. To his Family - I'm sorry for your sadness. He always spoke so highly of you ~ and with Love. You'll stay in our hearts Bill.
Michele, My Sisters (Claudy and Jo... he'd call her "Josie") , my Mom, and my Dad who he'll now meet up with again!)
Rest Dear Bill..my fellow Birthday Celebrant!

Uncle Billy, you were a friend and a great uncle (in both senses). I remember how you would spend time with us during the holidays and on family vacations. I´ll miss your laugh, your banter and gentle ribbing.
With you, I could always count on a great conversation. You were such a calm presence, unafraid to speak your mind, but also never one to take anything too seriously.
I´ll always remember you covertly slipping a 20 dollar bill in a handshake and saying "Don´t tell your mother... go to the movies with your friends" or when I was in college this changing to "Have a beer on me". I remember when you drove me back to the dorms at SVA and giving me a copy of Paths of Glory so we could talk about it.
I remember you laughing and holding baby Riley at Father´s Day last year. You were such a funny and kind man, a gentle giant, and we´ll miss you so much.
We love you, Uncle Billy.
