William "Gerald" Sharp, 59, of Dixon, KY, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Gerald was born on November 29, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan.
He was a steadfast member of the Baptist faith and attended Grace Baptist Church when he was younger. Gerald had a deep appreciation for nature and spent many joyful hours hunting and fishing. His practical skills shone through in his love for fixing cars. He was currently in the process of restoring a 1962 Chevy Impala, a project that reflected both his dedication and his enthusiasm for classic cars.
A funeral service to honor Gerald's memory will be held Friday, December 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah. Burial will follow at Horn Cemetery in Hardin, KY. Friends and loved ones may visit with the family on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
Gerald is survived by his beloved mother, Janice Sharp, of Paducah; his two brothers: Thomas Sharp of Paducah and Michael Sharp (Melissa) of Benton; and his sister: Kay Dobbins (Andrew) of Paducah; and his girlfriend: Judy Springfield of Dixon, KY;
He was preceded in death by his father: William Joseph Sharp.
William "Gerald" Sharp leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and craftsmanship that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
