William F. "Bill" Sliter Jr., 71, of LaFayette, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025 with his family by his side. Born in Sidney, New York on May 26, 1953, he was the son of the late William F. and Augusta Sliter.
Bill was a truck driver and retired from NYS Thruway Authority as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed riding his Harley, spending time with his family, friends, fur baby, Mindy and more recently, building and racing R/C cars.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Holly M. Samson in 2012 and his brother, Ricky Edwards in 2018.
Bill is survived by his children, Brian (Danielle) Bridgette and Jennifer (Wayne) Hosler; and grandchildren, Marissa, Easton and Natalie.
At the request of the family, services will be held privately. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Bill's memory to the CNY SPCA or Humane CNY.
