Ella Jane Crenshaw, 74, of Stockbridge, passed away on February 5, 2026. Ella was born in Isola, Mississippi, on March 23, 1951, to Clarence and Rosie Crenshaw.
Ella retired from the Syracuse City School District. She was a church secretary and a deaconess at Church House of Levites for over 40 years. In her free time, she enjoyed collecting coins and knives. Ella's favorite color was blue; she loved butterflies and flowers.
Clarence Ollie Crenshaw, her father, and Rosie Lee Turner, her mother, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, April D. Crenshaw; grandson, Olliec D. Funderburg (Shanice); granddaughters, Ollisha J. Crenshaw and Ollicia J. Crenshaw; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Ella’s siblings Eddie Lee Nichols, Ester Cochran, Dorothy Winston (Walter), Terry Martin, Jackie Crenshaw, Audrey Tankson (Vincent), and Roe Lee Crenshaw.
Family and friends, the funeral services will be held Thursday, February 19th, 2026. At New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY 13212. The visitation will be at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 12:00 PM with Elder Richard Powell officiating.

Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, 940 Comstock Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210, at 1:30 PM.
