William L. Smith, 82, Kokomo, Indiana, passed way at 4:35 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Health, Kokomo, Indiana.
Born September 6, 1943, in Logansport, Indiana, he was the son of Olie Smith, Sr., and Ora Catherine (Griffith) Smith. He was a United States Army veteran, and served from 1963-65 and 1968-69 and was a member of the American Legion. He was a handyman and had worked in construction and roofing most of his life.
Survivors include two nieces Sonia Woodard (Bishop Charles), Kokomo; and Anna Morris, Kokomo; and two nephews, Demetrius (Yvette) Stubberfield, Georgia; and Darrel Smith, Kokomo; great-nephews, Brian Morgan(Shereana) and Bradley Morgan (Jameta) Morgan; and great-nieces, Tanika Gibbs, and Jasmine Blades
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olie and Ora Catherine Smith; one daughter, Ebony Hurth Glenn; sister, Mary E. Stubberfield Woodard; and brother, Olie Rocky Smith, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday December 20, 2025, at Disciples of Christ, 1518 Faith Road, Kokomo, Indiana, with Bishop Charles Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery, Kokomo.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, at the church.
