William "Casey" Smithson

William Casey Smithson, of Bruce, MS. born on July 16, 1988, in Tupelo, Mississippi, left this world on June 16, 2025. Despite his struggles, Casey found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a passionate sports enthusiast, with a particular love for Ole Miss. His spirit soared on game days, mirroring the excitement he felt while hunting and camping with his family. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time outdoors with his children, sharing those cherished moments that will remain in their hearts forever. Casey is survived by his children, Layla Marie, Chloe Leila, Jasey Reigh, and William Zachery, mother, Melinda Smithson, sister, Keri Leila (Benji) Haire. As a family, they will carry forward the memories of his laughter and love. As we reflect on Casey's life, we remember the vibrant spirit he shared with us and the deep love he had for his children. May he find peace, and may his memory continue to inspire those he leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for prayers and support as they navigate this difficult time. Casey was preceded in death by wife, Angelin Smithson, father, William Keith Smithson, and grandparents, William Smithson, Linda Carol Smithson, Clinton Brower, Helen Brower A private family service will be held to honor Casey's life.
