William Sobey Obituary

William Arthur Sobey II (Bill), of Ingram, TX, age 84, passed away November 6, 2025, in San Antonio, TX. He was born in Flint, MI to Eleanor and William Arthur Sobey I on October 5, 1941. He married Linda (Cobb) on June 25, 1991, in Flint, Michigan. He loved golf, bowling, singing in the choir at church, and going to Walt Disney World.
He graduated from Flushing High School in 1959. He worked as a Pipefitter for General Motors for 32 years. He was a Veteran and served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of New Hope Fellowship in Ingram, TX.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, brothers Jerry and Bobby Mesack, and sisters Joyce Ciesielski and Kay Huggins.
He is survived by his wife Linda, daughters Julie (Pedro) Irizarry and Stephanie (Brian) Plover, sons Mike Sobey, Scott (Jodie) Addington, Sean (Mindy) Creger, and a bonus son, Brian (Crystal) Fritcher. He was a beloved Papa to eight grandchildren: Mandy (Kian), Peter, Marisa, Easton, Emerson, Conner, Joper, and Zoey.
A memorial service will be held in January 2026, date to be determined, in Ingram, Texas.
