Bill peacefully left to join his heavenly Father from his home in Firestone, Colorado on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the age of 65, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Soles; step-daughter, Taumi Sanchez; step-son, Zach Brooks; step-granddaughter, Hayden Tiddy; sisters, Lynda Pelissier and Melanie (Scott Spindler) Fredricey; brother, Jim Soles; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who were dear to him.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, James Warren Soles and Nancy Charlotte Soles; his beloved son, Corey Michael Soles; and sisters, Janine Louis Soles and Regina Cay Darling.
Born on August 8, 1959, in Creston, British Columbia, Canada, Bill grew up with a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. In his younger years, he worked alongside his father at the nickel mine in Elsa, Yukon, where he especially enjoyed the challenge of smashing boulders.
For 27 years, Bill dedicated his career to Avedon Engineering, where he managed materials and inventory for 24 years before transitioning to assembling industrial fans. It was there, in 1993, that he met Sandy, the love of his life. Avedon was truly a family affair, with his brother Jim, sister Melanie, and brother-in-law Scott also part of the team.
Bill found joy in winter camping, relishing the serenity of nature even in its coldest form. His quiet strength, kind heart, and dry wit will be missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Good Shepherd Church, 3429 N Monroe Ave, Loveland, Colorado 80538.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Bill's honor.
