Caroline Soles

Caroline Soles went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the early morning hours of August 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving children.

Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Caroline graduated from the College of Charleston before moving to Callahan, Florida, where she began her career as a teacher in the Nassau County school system. In 1964, Caroline married the love of her life, Lewis Soles. She paused her teaching career to raise their three children, later returning to the classroom to teach for a total of seventeen years.

Caroline's faith was the cornerstone of her life. In Callahan, she was an active member of First Baptist Church, where she faithfully taught a Ladies Sunday School class. After retiring, Caroline and Lewis moved to Franklin, North Carolina, joining the First Baptist Church there. Following Lewis's passing, Caroline moved to St. Augustine, Florida, where she became a member of Crescent Beach Baptist and joyfully served teaching children's Sunday School. In her later years, she made her home in Yulee, Florida.

Caroline was an avid reader who found peace in the quiet beauty of the mountains and the shoreline, and she treasured time spent with her family. Those who knew her best will remember her servant's heart and the way she lived out her faith daily.

Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Elizabeth Harrison, her beloved husband, Lewis; and brother, Julian Harrison, III. She is survived by her three children, Thad Soles, Beth Murray (Ryan), and Randy Soles (Yvonne); eight grandchildren, Chloe, Caleb, Ryan, Alana, Rhaelyn, Jonas, Sandy, and Daymon; and five great-grandchildren, Mila, Hendrix, Corbin, Sage, and Makenna-with three more expected soon. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Margaret Harrison, and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Caroline's legacy of faith, love, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Visitation for Caroline will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Callahan First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to their local Community Hospice.
