CENTRAL CITY – William Sorrels Jr, 82, of Central City, died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Ohio County Hospital in Hartford. Born in Muhlenberg County on September 10, 1929, he owned and operated Sorrels Plumbing before retiring and was a member of Daystar Worship Center in Bremen & was a U. S. Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his wife, Adaer Sorrels, a granddaughter, Alanta Rivas, brother, Ray Sorrels, Step Mother, Retha Frost, Parents, Thestal & Cora Mae Jones Sorrels. Survivers include six sons, Harold Dean(Mary)Sorrels of Beaver Dam, Larry Wayne(Cyndy)Slinker of Front Royal, VA, Charles Sorrels of Greenville, William Darrel Sorrels of Beaver Dam, Paul Gregory Sorrels of Central City, & Jimmy B.(Toni)Sorrels of Centertown, four daughters, Barbara J. Sorrels & LaVonda P. Bolton both of Greenville, & Kimberly D.(Mike Tanner)Sorrels & Mayetta (Danny)Hansler both of Powderly. Twenty six grandchildren, Fifty four great grandchildren & a brother, Jesse(Juanita)Edwards of Bremen. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, conducted by Rev. Donnie Neal with burial in the Wyatt's Chapel Cemetery in Beech Creek. Visitation will be Monday after 5:00 PM & Tuesday after 8:00 AM at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.co
