William J. Spadafora passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025. He was 90. Born in Philadelphia to Michael and Adeline (nee Stumpo) Spadafora, Bill was an Army Veteran who served in Germany post-World War II. He liked to say he was in Germany with Elvis.
Bill was a consummate pizza man. He owned several pizza shops, starting in Somerton on Bustleton Pike when it was just a two-lane road. In the early 1970s, he had a pizza shop in Horsham named Spadas ("Come to Spadas for a pizza!"). He was a fixture for many years at Café Riveria in the Neshaminy Mall. Even in retirement, he shared his pizza making love and techniques with his family. His great nieces and nephews loved the holidays when Uncle Bill would arrive early to a family party to make pizza appetizers.
Bill is survived by 11 nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and great-nephews and many dear friends, including his long-time neighbors Tom and Dee, and his friends of 55 years Angelo and Marina Lancellotti.
He is predeceased by his parents, Michael and Adeline Spadafora. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four elder brothers and their wives: Frank (Evelyn), Joseph (Marie), Michael (Mary Ann), and Robert (Cherie).
Family and Friends are invited to Bill's Funeral services which will be held at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954 on Thursday, August 14th. The viewing begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by a prayer service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Veteran-related charity of the donor's choice.
